Terms of service
Last updated 4 November 2026
These terms are an agreement between you and Lucas Deck. By creating an account you agree to them. You can contact us by replying to any email we have sent you.
The service
Lucas Deck turns recordings, videos and documents into slides, documents, audio, video and other outputs using AI. We are always improving it, so features can change. We will tell you in advance about any change that significantly reduces what your paid plan includes.
Your account
- You must be at least 18, or using Lucas Deck for a business.
- Keep access to your email account secure, because we sign you in with email links.
- You are responsible for what happens under your account.
Plans, payment and cancelling
- The free trial lasts 7 days and needs no card. Paid plans are billed monthly or yearly in advance through Stripe, until you cancel.
- Each plan includes a monthly allowance of audio minutes, outputs and AI messages. Allowances reset on the 1st of each month and unused allowance does not carry over.
- Top-up packs add allowance for the rest of the month they are bought in.
- You can cancel or pause at any time on the Plan page. Cancelling stops future payments; you keep your plan until the end of the period you have paid for.
- If you are a consumer, you have 14 days from buying to cancel and get a refund. Because the service starts straight away, by using it in those 14 days you agree that we may reduce the refund in line with what you have used. This does not affect your other legal rights.
- We may change prices for future billing periods. We will email you at least 30 days before a price change affects you, and you can cancel before it does.
Your content
- You keep all rights to what you upload and to the outputs we make for you.
- You give us permission to store and process your content only to provide the service to you, including sending it to the service providers listed in our privacy policy.
- You must have the right to upload it. If it includes other people, for example in a recorded meeting, you must have told them or have another lawful reason.
- If you turn on a share link, anyone with the link can see the shared slides and notes, and, if you allow it, ask questions answered from them. You can turn sharing off at any time.
AI outputs
Outputs are written by AI. They can contain mistakes, miss things or misstate facts. We add checks to help, but you must review outputs before you rely on them or share them, especially for legal, financial, medical or other important decisions.
Fair use
Do not use Lucas Deck to:
- break the law, or infringe anyone's rights, including copyright and privacy
- upload material you have no right to use, or harmful, hateful or sexual content involving minors
- try to get around plan limits, overload the service, or access other people's data
- resell the service without our written agreement
We may suspend or close accounts that break these rules. Where reasonable, we will tell you first and give you a chance to fix the problem.
Our responsibility to you
- We will provide the service with reasonable care and skill. We cannot promise it will always be available or error-free.
- If you use Lucas Deck for business, we are not responsible for lost profits, lost business or indirect losses, and our total liability in any 12 months is limited to what you paid us in that time.
- Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, such as for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or fraud.
Ending the agreement
You can delete your account at any time on the Plan page, which deletes your projects and files. We may end the service with at least 30 days' notice, and will refund any unused prepaid period.
Changes and law
We may update these terms. We will tell you about important changes before they take effect. These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. If you are a consumer living elsewhere in the UK, you can also bring claims in your local courts.
